The Greenhouse Art Studio exists to nurture creativity and faith by bringing quality art instruction directly to families — teaching students of all ages to slow down, observe God's creation, and express what they see through drawing and painting.
Every class begins with observation. Students step into nature — their own backyard, front yard, or a nearby park — and learn to truly see: the details of local plants, the everyday things we walk past without noticing. Then they practice what they've observed, first in graphite, then in acrylic paint, applying the seven foundational elements of art. Classes adapt to each student: our teacher observes each student's needs and interests and adjusts the class accordingly.
Students who see the world more attentively — able to recognize the plants and everyday beauty around them — and who carry the seven foundational elements into every artwork they create. Most importantly, students learn how to observe and focus.

Flat areas defined by edges — circles, leaves, petals, silhouettes.

Light and dark — how shading gives artwork depth and life.
The area around and between subjects — what makes a composition breathe.

Three-dimensional depth — turning shapes into objects that feel real.

Sketchbook, acrylic paints, graphite pencils, brushes, palettes.
In person · two consecutive days · 1.5 hours each day.
Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Children and adults — classes for all ages, minimum one student.
Every student begins with an introduction class — it's how we get to know your student and tailor the classes to them.
